I tried this a bunch of times and mine just comes up with a blinking green light. Nothing ever comes onto the screen Even when i tried booting up holding the power and volume down key. Basically this is what happened to me. My evo would come up as s-on and wouldnt hold any RUU that i installed on it. For example after it installs, and if i turn it off and turn it back on, it would go back to the supersonice s-on screen.

So i read that it had to be on s-off in order to hold a RUU. So i used unrevoked and and tried doing that, but unrevoked stayed on waiting for phone to turn on and my phone never turned back on i unplugged it and tried turning it back on but it only vibrates and stays on a black screen. I plugged it in after i doing that and it shows up as missing a Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM driver and it doesnt install it even when i try using windows mobile device. Installation keeps failing. Tell ya what.this is easier. Create a folder on your desktop and name it 'Android' Download these files: • • • • • Take the first three files and just dump them into your Android folder.
The htc sync file---run it, then uninstall it but leave the drivers. The Java file, not sure if needed, but wont hurt.run it. I just want to see if adb will recognize the phone when it is on but with a black screen. Edit: just saw your edit. Then do the HTC Sync thing I suggested to get the drivers.
